**Position Information**:
Dapto High School has a growing enrolment; 1036 students, including 95 Aboriginal students. We are a proudly inclusive; a comprehensive school servicing a community on the edge of formidable change. A new city of West Dapto is being built to our south and west. A very stable, hardworking staff is actively engaged with the challenges of good learning and teaching in the 21st century. Covidian challenges have sharpened our focus on ICT and mental health. An active Parents & Citizens' Association, Student Representative Council and school executive are key participants in the strategic responses to change. Environmental sustainability, the integration of technology into teaching/learning and collaborative action to address School Improvement Plan priorities are key focus areas. **Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach; VET Construction-General, Technology Mandatory 7-12. Approval to teach or preparedness to be trained in VET: Metal and Engineering providing the qualification benchmark is met. Skills and experience in ICT, Gifted and Talented and teaching experience in Industrial Technology: Metal and Industrial Technology: Timber.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish positive working relationships with staff, students, and parents to improve student learning outcomes.
Evidence of effective classroom practice that includes the ability to cater for students with a diverse range of learning needs through differentiated curriculum, classroom management and integration of technology
Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and contribute to faculty programs and resources. Willingness to participate in whole school initiatives.
