**The Role**
The Portfolio Management Branch (PMB) remit is to simplify, optimise, and standardise financial and strategic workforce requirements for a multi-billion dollar ICT portfolio within the Defence Digital Group (DDG). With a strategic role in DDG the EL 1 Budgeting Manager will be regularly called on to provide our senior executive with insights across the Defence digital landscape.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Respond to executive requests for financial reporting and budget analysis.
- Develop high-value dashboards and written financial reporting.
- Provide advice and high-level budgeting support to large projects.
- Develop budget submissions, budget briefings, presentations, and other financial reporting.
- Lead and coach a small team of budget professionals.

- Be comfortable working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities, including briefing senior leaders.
- Have extensive experience in budget management with large entities such as government agencies or large private organisations, and understand project management.
- Demonstrate organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and interpersonal and influencing skills with previous experience engaging, collaborating and influencing key stakeholders to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
