Site Labourer

**RWE Renewables Australia Pty Ltd., MelbourneTo start as soon as possible, Full time, Permanent**

**Functional area**: Operations & Maintenance

RWE is searching for an experienced SIte Labourer to join our O&M team for our Limondale solar farm, to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the Solar Farm asset by undertaking a variety of field duties associated with routine inspections, service and maintenance of solar structure and general maintenance.

The principal accountabilities and duties of the role of a Mechanical/Civil Mechanical/Civil supervisor include but are not limited to;
- Perform grounds maintenance and inspections as directed;
- Perform works on solar farm structure and modules as directed;
- Perform Quality and Safety Inspections as directed;
- Operate light vehicles and plant as directed and in accordance with RWE policies, procedures and legislative requirements;
- Actively participate in and promote Work Health and Safety (follow accepted procedures, raise hazard reports, etc)
- Ensure that works are undertaken in an environmentally responsible manner under direction;
**Communication Skills**

Communicate effectively with Site Manager, Supervisors and Site Administrators.

Occupational Health Environment & Quality (HSEQ)
- Ensure that you understand and carry out activities in accordance with RWE Renewables Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures;
- Operate in accordance with RWE Renewables approved policy and procedural requirements;
- Ensure all incidents and near-misses in area of responsibility are appropriately reported as per RWE procedures

**Qualifications**
- Current Driver’s License
- Construction Induction Card (Where applicable)

**Technical Knowledge**
- Plant competencies (preferred)
- Pesticides & chemical qualifications (preferred)

**Industry & Business experience**
- HSE: Constant awareness, report risks and hazards. Attend meetings; generate SWMS in consultation.
- Appropriate level of commercial acumen commensurate with position, some knowledge of commercial contracts.
- Demonstrated productive performance in a team environment

**People Skills & other**
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, punctual, diligent, honest.
