**About the role**
Reporting to the Manager Settlement Services, the Team Leader Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) oversees and coordinates the provision of services that support the settlement journey of eligible clients of the Humanitarian Settlement Program.- Lead the team to deliver HSP services including case management and orientation, ensuring KPIs and service level standards are met.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality case management services to support eligible clients’ journey to social participation, economic well-being, independence, personal well-being and community connectedness.
- Ensure the delivery of appropriate and responsive orientation activities and group information sessions that aim to provide new arrivals with the basic skills and knowledge to allow them to independently access services.
- Provide supervision, guidance, support and practice advice to staff in various aspects of service provision including; intake, case management, and orientation activities.
- Undertake casework and group work within the position as required.
- Liaise and report to Manager around all aspects of program delivery, including reporting and budgeting.
- Provide day-to-day site management across designated sites and co-locations as required, including oversight of administrative, staffing, and operational matters, responding to crises as needed.
- Respond to, and oversee, critical incidents and complaints as required.
- Develop and maintain respectful and productive relationships with Lead contractor, key stakeholders/services, referral agencies, and community groups.
**About you**
- Tertiary qualified in social work or another a relevant discipline
- An understanding of, and commitment to, the needs of newly arrived migrant and refugee communities.
- Strong familiarity of systemic and structural barriers that new and emerging communities can face in Australia and possible approaches for overcoming these, with regards to the areas of economic, social, and civic participation.
- Demonstrated experience in case management, supporting clients with complex needs and managing a wide range of client crises
- Experience in leading teams in a fast-paced environment in a relevant field.
