Hunter Executive Search Consultants are currently working in partnership with ASX-listed Metcash, Australia's leading wholesale distribution and marketing company, to source a Logistics Operations Manager for their West Australian business.

**The role**:

- Provide outstanding leadership and management of the operations team across the whole site.
- Manage the performance and promote continuous improvement of the overall DC operation.
- Through your extensive management experience, identify areas where staff require upskilling, training, and managing succession planning.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the site, including dry, perishables, and liquor.
- Ensure safe working practices are undertaken across the whole site. Upholding high standards for health, safety and wellbeing.
- Monitor and meet financial targets and budgets for warehouse operations
- Promote collaboration between the warehouse and customer service team to ensure that customer expectations and requirements are met.

**About you**:

- In-depth FMCG, Retail, or Warehousing knowledge, with 5+ years experience in a similar role.
- Proven success managing a distribution centre with 50+ staff.
- Strong financial acumen and previous budgeting and forecasting experience
- Previous success in implementing cultural change management.
- Strategically minded leader that displays drive, Initiative, and can make sound decisions.
- Experience managing the execution and implementation of automated warehousing
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse systems
- Ability to foster open communication, create a collaborative culture and drive continuous improvement.
