Facilities Technician Brisbane South

**The opportunity**:
Our team in **Brisbane Southern Suburbs**have an exciting opportunity for a **Facilities / Maintenance Technician** to join the team on a permanent basis.

In this role you'll step into the team and play an integral role in servicing our **Goodlife Health Clubs** in and around Brisbane and the Gold Coast to ensure the facilities and equipment are maintained to a high standard, providing both a safe and functional environment for both our members and team.

In this **Facilities Technician** position, you will have the opportunity to build strong working relationships and rapport with our club managers as their first point of contact for all maintenance activities.

This is a fast-paced environment where no two days will be the same. One day you will attend assigned clubs to complete logged maintenance jobs based on a priority basis. On another day you could be fixing a piece of gym equipment in the morning and patching a wall or changing a light fixture at another club that afternoon.

**This is a 3-month fixed term contract, with the potential to extend.**

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Carry out general maintenance around the club, repairing a large array of fitness equipment, painting, building, planned maintenance
- Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are followed up and completed in a timely manner
- Equipment removal and re-installation
- Document and maintain maintenance records and hazard identification, reporting any incidents or near misses through WHS systems.
- Provide essential service audits, and work with suppliers with warranties and ordering spare parts

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role
- Have effective communication skills both written and verbal and natural ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be comfortable working autonomously
- Be confident managing and coordinating external contractors
- Have a passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn

**Skills/experience**:
**_Essential_**
- Experience as a Facilities / Maintenance Technician
- Experience maintaining and working from a maintenance log system such as ServiceNow
- Australian driver's license and clean driving record

**_Desirable _**
- Experience repairing gym equipment
- Trade qualification in electrical/mechanical background
