**Position Information**:
Elanora Heights Public School is a K-6, bushland primary school situated in the Pittwater Network in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The school currently has 410 students and a dedicated, caring staff. High expectations are embedded in all that we do. The school is part of the 'Narrabeen Elanora Students and Teachers' Collaboration, known as the NEST, focused on building a strong K-12 pathway of learning. A key focus is the development of inclusive and engaging teaching programs aligned to the new syllabus to meet individual needs of every student. The school is supported by an active and passionate parent community. Extra-curricular programs such as Strings, Band, Dance, Sport, clubs and HPGE programs provide excellent opportunities for the students.
**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and assessment with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
- A highly visible, collaborative leader with strong interpersonal skills and a proven capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
- Demonstrated capacity to balance exemplary classroom practices with the complex responsibilities of a school leadership role, including building cohesive teams and leading extra-curricular activities such as the school creative arts and music program.
- Proven capability in leading whole school student HPGE initiatives and embedded programs to ensure differentiated opportunities for all students.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
