Diversity is embraced and every student is considered and catered for within the schools unique and caring culture. **About the Role**: In your role as Head of School, you will significantly contribute to a high expectations school culture through strong systematic leadership of a diverse team of Deputy Principals, Heads of Departments and teachers. The Head of School (locally known as the Associate Principal) will be directly accountable to and operate under the direction of the School Principal. The Head of School will have the responsibility for delivering on the following key tasks: - Be futures oriented and strategic to ensure Miami State High School is on track to achieve its vision. - Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity, aligning with the state and schools values. - Model and ensure socially just practices in daily school life, with a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards for staff and students. - Access, analyse and interpret student and other school wide data to influence continuous improvement in practices and procedures across the school. - Model instructional leadership, student focussed decision making and inclusive practices on a daily basis. - Enact quality change management processes where appropriate understanding the importance of positive staff culture and wellbeing. - Actively contribute to and facilitate internal professional development to continually inspire teachers and their pedagogy. - Cultivate teams, partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business to positively impact on students experiences and outcomes. - Other tasks as determined fit by the School Principal.
