Our superstar
- **Sales Manager** will be a hands-on leader, with ability to develop a high performing sales team of five throughout the region of Otago. You will drive the group sales across the CLAAS Harvest Centre utilising intelligent strategic and sales initiatives and will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way This role will require regular travel, approximately 2-3 times per week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Represent products and service, using consumer research as well as deep and comprehensive knowledge of how solutions meet the needs of customers
- Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them
- Coordinate sales activities with other departments such as marketing, spare parts and service as needed to ensure the optimal service levels to customers
- Provide ongoing consistent support for sales team as they generate leads and close deals
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics whilst monitoring market competitors
- Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
- Overseeing coordination and delivery of sales events

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated Agricultural industry and equipment knowledge essential
- Proven background of successful sales leadership role
- Excellent negotiating skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to develop highly effective working relationships by credibility, respect and rapport with your team members
- High standard of written and verbal communication in a professional manger
- Strong decision-making abilities
- Be eager to learn and embrace new experiences to improve your skillset
- Valid driver’s licence with flexibility to travel as required
