Our valued client is a licenced, fee-for-service organisation that supports Children, Young People, Families and Carers through a variety of therapeutic programs. Offering three wrap around support programs, they are each designed to empower it's participants to build lasting connections and create a safe and nurturing home environment.

**This is a Permanent, Full Time opportunity based in Beenleigh.**:
**The Role**

Based out of the Head Office in Beenleigh, the Workplace Health & Safety Officer will report into the HR Manger. The appointee will be responsible for embedding the organisations safety framework, leading practice procedures and workplace polices and procedures that comply with relevant regulations and standards ensuring legislative compliance. Importantly, the role will promote health and safety as a leading priority.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Health and safety and risk compliance (incident and hazard reporting, investigation of incidents, corrective actions)
- Incident reviews and workplace WHS investigations
- Corrective Action processes
- Support Executive and leadership team
- Monitor and advise on WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
- Emergency preparedness and risk frameworks, including their action plans
- Policy and procedure development and implementation
- WHS Procedures and Work Instructions and promote WHS activities
- Site visits and interaction with staff
- Fire and emergency procedures
- Audit schedules and delivery
- Benchmarking and reporting

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 3 years WHS industry experience (community services desirable)
- Current knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and ability to respond in accordance to our scope of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across various levels.

**To be Successful**
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety, Diploma or higher-level qualification in Health and Safety
- QLD Driver Licence
- Blue Card or ability to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Ability to pass a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check (LCS2)
- Rehabilitation/Return to Work Certificate (Highly desirable)

**Salary and Benefits**
- **$95,686.50 - $99,918.00 (SCHADS Level 6) + 10.5% Super**:
