About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for two recent Graduates who are looking to join us as we embark on our mission to connect every Australian to a sustainable future.

The initial focus will be to learn about the WA retail and wholesale gas and electricity markets through on the job training and assisting the team in day-to-day pricing, analytical, quality assurance, energy trading, financial modelling, reporting activities and customer negotiations.

These roles will canvas 3 main areas including Wholesale Trading, Commercial & Analytics and Retail.

As a Graduate on our 18-month program, we offer you:
- Three six-month rotations across the selected business areas which will provide you with an understanding of the energy market- Performance feedback and hands on experience for your career development- On-the-job training to build on your skills and exposure to different areas of the business- Mentor support from a senior industry professional to help guide your career- An opportunity to secure permanent placement in one of the business divisions at the end of the 18 months.

What you’ll be doing:
- Analysing & Reporting of the Retail and Wholesale Energy Market Position,- Developing your knowledge and skills in order to undertake Bilateral, STEM and Balancing submissions in accordance with market rules and obligations, managing trading tools and mechanisms for entity communication.- Identifying and recommending changes to improve business processes, analytics and market position, implementing advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analysing data requirements- Assist the Pricing Analyst as required with running and maintaining the integrity of pricing tools- Learning how to have customer conversations including understanding customer needs, negotiation, objection handling and account management.- Assist with marketing requirements from time to time.

About You:
This opportunity would suit someone with a degree in the area of Commerce, Finance, Business or Information Systems, either recently graduated or due to graduate this year.

What you’ll bring to the table:
- Demonstrated high proficiency and extensive experience in MS Excel and modelling principles and practices; along with proven analytical skills and ability to manage and analyse mass data with a high attention to detail and ability to reconcile outcomes and inputs.- A strong sense of team orientation and interpersonal skills- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation, coupled with ability to maintain strict confidentiality and work appropriately with sensitive information.- Curious and eager to learn
