**About the role**
We currently have a permanent full-time position for an experienced Works Supervisor to join our Infrastructure Services team. The role is based at our Moruya Depot, you will lead the team and work closely with site personnel preparing, controlling and monitoring construction works and maintenance activities in civil works, bridges and marine structures.
Your main duties will include:
- Project planning, monitoring, resourcing, helping prepare the budgets and monitor costs, monitoring environmental and quality requirements, scheduling of works and provide traffic management.
- Effective supervision of team members, contractors and sub-contractors ensuring a safe and willing team environment is maintained whilst undertaking road construction and maintenance, drainage and concreting works as part of the councils' planned projects.
- Actively undertaking physical labouring and other related construction or maintenance manual activities as part of the job.
- Providing positive customer service to the public, government departments and other service providers in relation to construction and maintenance projects and enquiries.
- Arranging quotations, preparing estimates and providing essential technical interpretation for projects or elements of projects.
- Actively participating in the continuous improvement of Council’s construction and maintenance activities.
**Salary Information**
Total remuneration for the role is in the range $3,292.54 to $3,590.00 gross per fortnight consisting of:
- $2,915.11 to $3,181.89 base salary
- $37.84 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
- $339.59 to $370.27 superannuation (at 11.5%)
- A fully maintained Council vehicle for to/from home use is available with this position._

**About you**
- Certificate IV level qualification in a relevant trade (or ability and willingness to obtain).
- Established technical field skills and proven ability to control and monitor projects.
- Well-rounded understanding and experience in plant capabilities and outputs used in both construction and maintenance activities.
- Willingness and ability to successfully undertake physical labouring tasks associated with Council’s maintenance and construction activities.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights and over/in water.
- Well-developed oral and written workplace communication skills along with developed literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
