**YMCA Gymnastics** is recruiting a **Competitive Gym Leader** **on a **permanent, full time** basis to join our team located in **Bowen Hills, QLD.**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The role of a **Competitive Gym Leader** is to develop and coordinate the Centre’s Competition Gym program and all classes as well as supervising and supporting a small team of Competition Gym Coaches.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited too):

- Undertake the assessment of new gymnasts and assist with advising gymnasts in relation to their progression including recommendations regarding change of classes and levels.
- Complete administration tasks (eg. Gymnastics curriculum development implementation, class rotations and equipment rosters for classes etc.)
- Teach competitive gymnastics through the use of suitable progressions and lesson plans in accordance.
- Design and implement retention strategies that will improve the satisfaction level of gymnasts.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Accreditation with Gymnastics Australia minimum Level 1 or intermediate Recreational Gym coaching qualifications or industry equivalent
- Knowledge and practical experience in all aspects of gymnastics, including demonstrated programming experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Sound knowledge of computer systems including the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates, or willingness to obtain
- Positive Notice Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
