Disability Support Worker for Day and Sleepover

Divat Home Care is recruiting for Support Workers in the Ipswich and Red Hill areas.

We pay under the SCHADS award so all Support Workers recruited for these roles will be slotted in at a minimum level 2.1 which is $38.08 per hour for day shifts, $53.31 on a Saturday, $68.54 on a Sunday and $83.77 on a Public Holiday if you have a Cert III in Individual Support or a similar qualification.

**Participant 1 - Karalee**

The participant would like a mature aged female Support Worker who has had experience in aged care or supporting an individual who has an ABI. The shifts involve personal care, community access and domestic support.

The shift pattern is as follows:
Monday to Friday 6am to 11am and 1pm to 5.30pm - you can choose to do one or both shifts

**Please note that you must be available for sleepover shifts from 23 September to 30 September**

**Participant 2**

Our participant would like a female Support Worker who has experience using a Sarah Steady. Shifts involve personal care, community access and domestic support.

The shift pattern is as follows:
Monday to Sunday - 10am to 2pm

**Participant 3**

Our participant has requested female Support Workers and is fully involved in the recruitment of his team, so you will meet with him as part of the recruitment process.

We are looking for Support Workers who have experience of the following - however full training is provided with buddy shifts with our Registered Nurse.
- Experience supporting an individual who has muscular dystrophy (preferred)
- Experience with PEG feeding (preferred)
- Has used a hoist and slide sheet
- Six months experience as a Support Worker with participants with high support needs(preferred)
- Cert III in Individual Support (preferred)

The shifts are as follows (flexibility may be required):
9am to 5pm (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday)

5pm to 10pm Sleepover 6am to 9am Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

For all of these roles you will need to have or be happy to obtain the following:

- Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Card/Yellow Card
- First Aid and CPR
- Queensland Drivers Licence
- Reliable Vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Have completed the Covid 19 Infection Control Training

We also have participants who sometimes have short notice shifts due to Support Workers on their roster not being able to do a shift due to illness or other unexpected absence. The majority of these participants are in the Ipswich area with range of shifts from three hours to eight hour and shifts on a weekend with penalty rates.
