**The Role**
- You will require the ability to read and translate knowledge content and convey this in response to customer enquiries.

**About our Team**
The Directorate of Customer Access Management (DCAM) is one of 3 Directorates forming the Customer Service Network within Defence and is responsible for the 1800DEFENCE access channel as well as the lead Directorate for the development, management and strategic direction of the Customer Service Network and the product and services delivered. 1800DEFENCE is a rostered contact centre environment located in Cooma, NSW and Hobart, TAS.
- Monday 7:30am - 7:00pm
- Tuesday 7:30am - 10:00pm
- Wed-Fri 7:30am - 7:00pm
- Sat-Sun Closed Hours are Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)

We are looking for full time and part-time employees (minimum 20 hours per week) with a passion for customer service, who are enthusiastic and can work as part of a team.
- You will be required to have strong verbal, active listening and written communication skills.
- You will be able to multi-task, manage time effectively and enjoy working in a fast paced rostered environment.
- You will have proficient computer skills with the ability to adapt to changes and learn new skills.
- You will be able to identify customers’ needs, clarify customer information, research issues and provide solutions and or alternatives utilising a knowledge base system.

In turn, we will provide you with:

- Performance-related annual salary progression
- 15. 4% superannuation
- Negotiated Part-Time and flexible work arrangements to support a work life balance i.e. family and education commitments (minimum 20 hours per week)
- Overtime rates available post 7:00pm
