**ABOUT ARRA**

**About the role**:
ARRA Group’s heavy maintenance facility in Bassendean, Perth, is currently seeking skilled and dedicated Mechanical Fitters. This role focuses on overhaul activities involving Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) and Locomotive components such as wheel motors, alternators, traction motors, cartridges, blowers, and radiator fans. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, offering a unique work pattern with alternating weeks:

- **Dayshift**: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
- **Afternoon Shift**: Monday to Thursday, 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm; Friday, 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Disassembly, inspection, requalification, assembly, and testing of HME/OHV wheel motors
- Measurement and inspection of critical journals and key components
- Cleaning and requalification inspections of bearings, gears, and other mechanical parts
- Collaborating with a supportive team to drive continuous improvement and Lean practices
- Active participation in a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Contributing to UGL’s One HSE culture, focused on safety, health, and environmental sustainability

**About You**:

- A relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical fields such as Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter.
- Experience in HME maintenance (Komatsu 930, 830, 730, CAT MT4400) or component overhauls (wheel motors, traction motors, gearboxes, hoists, spindles)
- A strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to learning
- Desirable: Experience working with industrial gearboxes, brakes, wheel motors.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A valid driver’s licence.
