**Trade Assistant**

Assist Painters/Blasters and Boilermakers with general labouring, preparation and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment. Austal is looking to grow its paint & blast team and will provide full training.

**The Role**
- Assist the Painters/Blasters with sanding, painting and blasting
- Confined space entry sentry and fire sentry duties
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment with an aim to minimise waste in all forms
- Hold self and workmates accountable to high safety standards

**Skills & Experience**
- Ability to use general tools safely
- Strong safety focus
- White Card
- Previous painting or blasting experience is desirable
- Cert II Engineering or Building & Construction is desirable
- Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening required as part of onboarding
