Subsea Service Technician

- Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following:
CORE FUNCTION
- Assembling components from detailed general assembly drawings
- Testing of assembled components with hydraulic power units
- Performing maintenance of machines, tools and equipment
- Reading and comprehending basic hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Reading and comprehending basic drawings, specifications and procedures
- Operating hydraulic power units
- Operation general hand, hydraulic and air tools
- Diagnosing malfunctions and providing technical feedback to Engineering and/or the next level supervisor
- Maintaining shop cleanliness and enduring work is performed in an expedient and safe manner
- Cleaning, painting, cycling/flushing tooling and related equipment
- Completing quality checks on tools to ensure proper assembly, design and functionality are being maintained
- Occasionally travelling off site for tool testing as requested by customers (NB personnel will not be eligible for offshore deployments for a period of 6 months from their initial date of service)

General

- Promote a strong HSE culture at all times;
- Ensure that personnel identify with and achieve, the necessary Health and Safety performance standards associated with the relative risks to personnel and plant in their environment and daily work;
- Ensure that business and HSE risk implications of integrity issues are clearly identified and assessed for consideration within the Oceaneering Integrity Management Team and communicated to the Client;
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

- May receive direction from Senior Service Technician

**Qualifications and Training**
- Relevant Trade Qualification (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic)

**Experience**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related role

**Required Skills and Aptitudes**
- Proficient computer skills (e.g. Word and Excel)
- Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognising responsibilities and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Knowledge of safety standards (e.g. Step Back 5x5, JSEA, HSEQ systems etc.)
