**Production Operator (Altona North VIC)**

**The Company**:

This is a full-time position for a Production Operator, with an immediate start and excellent remuneration package on offer.

**Skills and Experience required**:

- Ensure plant and machinery is operated to stated procedures and standards.
- Able and willing to work in manufacturing environment and conditions (e.g. dust, noise, heat etc).
- Work to a shift roster, and varied hours based on operational requirements
- Undertake additional duties as required and during periods of leave for other staff
- Sets up, operates and cleans mechanical equipment
- Operate machine safely to specified manufacturing levels to achieve maximum production numbers/levels/units.
- An ability to work with stakeholders, communicate and understand requirements.
- Performs basic problem solving and diagnosis of machine issues and escalates non‑routine issues to maintenance team for resolution
- Liaise with maintenance team on breakdowns and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Keep production, down‑time and quality records in accordance with company procedures and requirements. Comply with all relevant legislative requirements and company and site policies, procedures and reasonable instructions. Participate in and promote a safety culture supporting the business to maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with site quality procedures. Promote and adhere to Quality, GMP, HACCP, ISO, policies and procedures.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues, management, transport operatives and site visitors.
- Forklift operations with a complete understanding of OH&S.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintenance of forklift equipment and performing quality checks
- Warehouse duties include but are not limited to moving stock and loading-unloading trucks.

**The successful applicant will possess**:

- A valid Forklift license (LF).
- High Reach Forklift experience is an advantage.
- RF Scanning experience is advantageous.
- Ability to lift to 15kgs.
- Knowledge of or interest in learning new work process systems.
- Well developed communication skills.
- Experience with large production equipment.
- Can work in a team and self-manage as required.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management.
- Good numerical and matching skills.
- Ability to adapt to any type of working environment.
- Punctuality and reliability are highly desirable.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
