About the Role:
As the Strategy and Reporting Analyst, you will be working within the Development and Analysis team that is responsible for delivering a robust pipeline of renewable energy and firming projects to drive Australia’s energy market transition. AGL plans on delivering 5GW and 12 GW of additional capacity by 2030 and 2035 respectively.
You will be responsible for delivering monthly strategic reports across the early stage, development and delivery pipeline to key senior leaders across our organisation. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to gather, consolidate and share information on project pipelines in presentations suitable for the specific leadership audience.
You will also support strategy development, review and implementation planning initiatives through analysing opportunities for new project development and emerging technologies.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working collaboratively with Project Developers, Project Managers, Project Controls and Project Analysis teams to gather monthly updates and pipeline performance data
- Ensure that data is captured accurately and consistently for input into monthly reporting for senior leadership teams
- Effectively communicate project and portfolio level progress and performance data through data analysis and visualisation to support decision making
- Continuous improvement of reporting through our reporting platform (Amplify)
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and provide inputs for Enterprise Strategy, Results and Investor Day presentations
About You:
You will be an experienced analyst with an understanding of how and what to report, depending on the audience. Your experience in analysing data and providing recommendations that will influence large capital projects will set you up for success.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Data Science or similar
- A passion for decarbonisation and the energy transition
- Experience in an analytical role focusing on strategy and reporting within the energy sector
- Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI. Amplify experience would be advantageous
