**About the role**
In this role, you will lead, manage and enhance short, medium and long term financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the provision of financial advice and decision support analysis for initiatives including structure and service reviews, process improvements, cost management initiatives and business cases. This will include monitoring and reporting on the achievement of benefits from organisational initiatives.
- Lead, develop and support a high performing team and service culture.
- Lead the enhancement of commercial / financial acumen organisation wide.
- Enhance organisational performance management through the development and continuous improvement of analytical and decision support tool sets and frameworks.
- Develop plans and strategies for the continuous improvement of policy and procedure supporting corporate financial management and reporting standards across the organisation.
- Engage with key stakeholders to lead and implement plans for the improvement of organisational systems that enable the flow and use of financial and non-financial information within the organisation.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in Corporate Planning and Financial & Management Accounting.
Essential Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a commerce, accounting or business management discipline.
- Charted Accountant or Certified Practicing Account membership.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively develop and make recommendations to the Executive, Council or Board, based on analysis of current and future trends, changing environments, available resources and organisation needs.
- Significant experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrated effective people development and management skills.
- Proven ability to initiate innovation and demonstrate best practice in a service environment and implementing innovative systems and solutions to financial management issues.
- Demonstrated personal commitment to alignment of organisational values and behavior.
- Substantial depth and range of financial management experience at a senior management level.
- Sound business acumen gained through experience within a commercial environment and proven ability to lead and drive financial management strategies.
