Our warm, welcoming, and very busy Newtown family is seeking a nurturing, confident, and energetic nanny. The role involves caring for two young children - a curious, joyful six-month-old baby girl and her affectionate, lively 2.5-year-old brother. The position is Monday to Wednesday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and will continue through to at least September, with the potential to extend longer-term.

Mum and Dad are both business owners with an office close by and often work from home, but give their nanny full autonomy. They’re looking for someone who can take initiative, think creatively, and become a trusted part of the family.

The morning begins with helping prepare breakfast and getting the toddler ready for daycare. You’ll walk (or drive if it's raining) both children to daycare and then spend the day caring for the baby - following her nap and feeding routine, introducing solids, and creating engaging, age-appropriate activities. The family encourages a screen-free lifestyle, with a strong emphasis on music, dancing, reading, outdoor adventures, and creative play.

The baby is described as happy, curious, and full of energy. She loves cuddles, new experiences, and time spent exploring. Your day will include plenty of outings, developmental play, and opportunities to attend local classes or activities. During nap times, you’ll assist with light housework such as tidying, laundry, and basic food prep. In the afternoon, you’ll pick up the toddler from daycare at 4:30 pm, bring him home, and finish the day at 5:00 pm.

The family’s gentle Labrador is very much a part of the home, and dog lovers will appreciate her friendly personality and frequent requests for pats and treats.

Nanny Duties & Responsibilities include:

- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Morning assistance with breakfast, lunch preparation, and school routines
- Light meal preparation
- Children’s laundry and light household support
- Confident and experienced driver with a valid licence
- Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills
- Calm, mature, and experience with infants
