**About the Role & Team**:
City of Melbourne Libraries provide services online and from six locations with a purpose to support our city, and everyone in it, to learn, create and contribute to our rapidly changing world. We continue to go from strength to strength to enhance our community, visitors and staff to stay connected to learning, their community and each other.

Join our team as a
**Children's and Youth Services Library Technician**, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering top-notch library and information services to our community.

As the primary ambassador for our East Melbourne library, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to library users, ensuring their needs are met with enthusiasm and efficiency. Your passion for fostering a love of reading and learning in young minds will shine as you assist in the provision of targeted programs specifically designed for children and young people.

In addition to your frontline duties, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our library through the provision of essential administrative support.**What you will bring to City of Melbourne**
- _A minimum qualification of Associate Diploma of Applied Social Science (Library Technician) or equivalent._
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with high level literacy, numeracy, technology and information retrieval skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders maintaining a flexible and positive approach.
- Ability to independently manage multiple and competing priorities within a high volume environment
