**About the role**:
The Project Support Officer supports the Aboriginal Strategy and Governance team with guidance and support from the manager to achieve a strategic view ensuring connection and line of sight across all tiers of government. The Project Support Officer will ensure coordination, collaboration and reduction of duplication in the delivery of Aboriginal health and wellbeing priorities.
Attention to detail and teamwork underpins success in this role as well as demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
The role provides wide-ranging administrative, secretariat and support functions.

**How you'll make a difference**:
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions.
- Undertake project work as requested by the Management Aboriginal Strategy and Governance.
- Support the full lifecycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
- Cultural Knowledge and expertise including the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and potential risks that impact upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of working with Aboriginal organisations and Aboriginal community.
