Our client is a family-owned Australian agribusiness with a number of cattle properties and modern feedlot across Queensland who is known for their training and development programs. Due to continued growth and a successful expansion, our client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join their team, looking over the Mill and Livestock departments.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the feedlot through operational and analytical support across the Livestock and Milling departments. Managing the internal quality assurance processes, your duties will consist of, but not be limited to:
Assist in promoting a positive health and safety culture through compliance management

Entry and maintenance of all livestock and commodities into ERP software

Interpret and analyse operational statistics, providing advice for continuous improvement across the feedlot

Liaise with internal divisions on feedlot operational performances, across genetic performance, chiller assessments, yield, and marbling

Management of QA systems, including internal audits, external audits and continuous improvement

About You

The successful applicant will have proven experience in feedlot operations. Whilst a Feedlot Management Traineeship is highly regarded, it is not essential. To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria:
Tertiary qualification such as Finance, Business, Ag Business (**Preferred)**

Very high attention to detail

Advanced Excel skills and intermediate IT skills across various software

Experience with complex reconciliations

Strong time management skills
