**About the role**:
Reporting to the Centre Manager, we are currently seeking a Sport and Aquatic Centre Supervisor to assist in the operations of Aquatic and Sports Centre operations.

The Sport and Aquatic Centre Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination, supervision, training and planning for Aquatic programs, staff, administration and Learn to Swim Instruction. The role will assist the Centre Manager in the development of systems, policies & procedures and communicate at a high level with Management, staff, patrons, and members of the public.

This is a Permanent, full-time, extended term-time position, 38 per week, 42 weeks per year (37 weeks school terms and 5 weeks in the school
holidays). Flexible rostering arrangements may include evenings and weekends.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Assist at any level of Glennie Aquatics swimming program as needed at the
discretion of the Centre Manager
- Plan term, weekly and daily rosters and adjust accordingly
- Check pool and sport centre bookings daily. Arrange and organise facilities and equipment is set up in accordance with booking requirements
- Manage day-to-day operations of Glennie Aquatics
- Liaise with Aquatics staff to organise training
- Assist Centre Manager to ensure roster is sufficient for programs and
events, replacing staff where necessary
- Supervise staff and school-based trainees
- Maintain smooth pool deck and day-to-day operation of Aquatic Centre.
- Liaise with external users such as other schools and coordinate bookings
- Upskill staff, suggest and recommend professional development opportunities
- Ensure hire agreements and risk assessments are up to date
- Provide excellent customer service to all current and potential clients and other parties, providing relevant, concise and up-to-date information
- Daily banking
- Assist in the planning and running of events

**About You**:

- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling harmonious and positive relationships
- Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
- An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with legal obligations relating to child safety including mandatory reporting requirements.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in Business/Sports Management or relevant
- Teacher of Swimming qualification
- Teacher of Babies and Toddlers qualification
- CPR certificate
- Senior First Aid certificate
- Pool Lifeguard qualification
- Pool Plant operator's qualification
- Working with Children / Blue Card

You will have experience in a similar role and a mature and professional approach to your work.
