Associate Pastor of The English Ministry

CACV, Christian Alliance Church of Victoria, is a local church in Burwood, with a Chinese and an English congregation.

We are seeking for a full-time Associate Pastor for our English Congregation to further flourish the ministries for youth, young adults and families.
Experience ministering and serving in cross-generational and cross-culture teams is preferred.
CACV is looking for a Pastor with the heart to serve and lead a young congregation but also a strong calling in building passionate followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Successful applicants will be expected to fulfill Christian & Missionary Alliance pastor licensing requirements. Australian residents only.

The Main Tasks include:
a) Provide leadership - work in close cooperation with Senior Pastor and Elders Board to lead the English congregation of the church into its mission to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.

b) Preaching and teaching the young families, young adults and youth of the English congregation.

c) Pastoral Care Ministry for the English Congregation.

d) Teaches and practices discipleship for the English congregation.

e) Active involvement in the adult and youth ministries as a team member in the leadership.

f) Together with the Senior Pastor (if any) and the Board of Elders to:

- Establish a vision of the English Ministry in conjunction with the Elders Board. Organize and carry out the mission of the English Ministry and the church at large.
- Plan, develop and effectively maintain a network of fellowship or groups in the English congregation providing support and encouragement.
- Develop a balance nurturing program for building Christlike character, Biblical knowledge, Christian values, spiritual gifts and conviction of the English Ministry.
- Communicate with the congregational members to enhance the community building process in the multi-generation, cross-cultural and bilingual direction.

g) Provide concise and regular status reports to the Board of Elders.

h) Other responsibility as assigned by the Board of Elders from time to time.

i) Liaise with the Chinese congregation in the activities of the English congregation.

Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
