**About the program**:
The Pre-Internship program is a ground-breaking initiative where young people preparing to leave school are supported through a pathway to meaningful, paid employment.

Sadly, employment outcomes for people with disability are poor and the options available to young people leaving school usually boil down to working in a factory packing boxes for sub-minimum wage, going to a traditional day service where they go bowling week after week, or staying at home.

We believe that young people deserve better, that people of all abilities can work if they choose and that people with disability are a valuable part of the community fabric.

This first of its kind program MLV is creating, is a two-year pathway to paid employment that begins with school leavers supported through work experience in local industry to learn employability skills.

We have just completed a very successful pilot with students from local secondary schools and a local council as the employer. The pilot has generated a lot of interest in the program. We are looking to recruit more Worklink Skills Development Coaches so we can support more young people with disabilities to leave school with a pathway into open employment.

**Who we’re looking for**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a go-getter who is keen to roll up their sleeves and help create something amazing with a group of passionate and dedicated professionals who are committed to change for the better.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $41.52 - $44.68 per hour

Expected hours: 22.8 per week
