**About the role**:
For you, as our QA/QC Coordinator, exceeding client expectations means having a ‘Sharpe Mind’ when it comes to ensuring a high-quality standard of work for our valued customers.

Working from our Virginia Facility, you will be responsible for maintaining a documented quality management system to provide efficient and effective support and management information to all functions in Sharpe Engineering Virginia. This includes controlling and managing the Quality Management System in Virginia and reporting to management, any improvements /recommendations required.

We’re one of the few manufacturers in Australia certified both to ISO 9001 and API Spec Q1, so your role will ensure compliance of our products and process according to our strict quality control measures.

**Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited, to the following**:

- Review supplier’s quality documentation (including MDR’s, COC’s, test reports and validation records) to ensure compliance with API or job requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers to clarify quality requirements.
- Create Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR’s) and follow up to ensure they are completed.
- Follow up post-delivery non-conformances reported by the customers to ensure they are appropriately addressed, and corrective actions are completed.
- Create Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR’s) and submit to the customer for approval.
- Perform in-house calibration of Virginia measuring equipment and prepare calibration reports.
- Maintain an updated register of measuring equipment using the calibration manager in SharePoint.
- Organize external calibrations through approved laboratories and review of the calibration reports.
- Perform receiving inspection on critical purchases.
- Perform quality inspections when required.
- Create NCR reports in M1 to capture information for nonconforming products for Virginia.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify corrective actions and follow up until they are completed.
- Prepare quality plans for products when required by API or customer.
- Review pressure test charts to ensure compliance with API or job requirements.
- Assist in developing new QMS documents and revising existing documents.
- Prepare analysis of data (on different aspects of the QMS as directed by the Brisbane Quality Manager) and report to management.
- Assist in the implementation of risk management procedures to ensure compliance with API Q1.
- Assist in identifying preventive actions and improvement opportunities in the system.
- Recommend improvement in the Quality Management System where needed.

**What we’ll be looking for in you**:

- Degree in a scientific or engineering related discipline.
- Certifications in precision inspection and quality.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication and oil and gas sectors. Hands-on experience in QA / QC within the office, project, and workshop environments.
- High attention to detail.
