**About the role**:
For you, as our QA/QC Coordinator, exceeding client expectations means having a ‘Sharpe Mind’ when it comes to ensuring a high-quality standard of work for our valued customers.
The Virginia QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for independently conducting receiving, in-process, and final inspections in the machine shop and preparing quality packages as required for each job to ensure that products and services meet the specified requirements and deliver defect-free products to customers. This includes supporting the quality management system to continually improve the inspection and testing processes.
We’re one of the few manufacturers in Australia certified both to ISO 9001 and API Spec Q1, so your role will ensure compliance of our products and process according to our strict quality control measures.
**Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited, to the following**:
Support the Sharpe Engineering Virginia Quality Management System in accordance with company requirements with the following specific responsibilities.
- Receive inspections - stage 2 in the plan and release items from inspection queue in Epicor.
- Review suppliers’ certificates and approve flow in SharePoint - stage 3 in the plan.
- Create supplier NCRs in Epicor and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and follow up to ensure completion.
- Prepare COC packages, upload them in SharePoint and Epicor, and send them to customers.
- Log post-delivery NCRs in Epicor and follow up on corrective actions until they are completed.
- Update Calibration Manager in SharePoint (calibrating gauges before due date + adding new gauges + archiving out of calibration gauges).
- Perform in-house calibration of measuring equipment.
- Organise external calibrations.
- Verify recorded heat number, check material cert, and sign off job traveler before machining.
- Create internal NCR in Epicor for NCs found during manufacturing and follow up on corrective actions until they are completed.
- Perform titration of phosphate tanks and record the results.
- Perform Coating inspections (phosphate, copper and ETC).
- Review pressure test results and prepare pressure test charts.
- Review torque turn results and prepare torque turn charts.
- Assist the Quality Inspector with QC inspection when needed.
- Perform NDT (MPI and LPI) as a qualified Level II technician and prepare NDT reports.
**What we’ll be looking for in you**:
- Licence: Certificate of NDT Level II is essential and appropriate licences for materials handling equipment or relevant experience.
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Engineering and/or related fields preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication and oil and gas sectors with hands-on experience in QA/QC across office, project, and workshop environments.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
