**About this position**

Based at the City's Operations Centre and reporting to the Director Infrastructure, this senior leadership role is crucial to the successful delivery of the City of Gosnells waste management services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to direct all waste management operations and contracts, oversee the Operations Centre - including stores management and security systems - and ensure the effective acquisition, operation and disposal of fleet vehicles, plant and equipment.

The portfolio also plays a vital role in advancing sustainability initiatives and projects through the Switch Your Thinking business plan.

**What we are looking for**

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Substantial experience in a similar role
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to engage and motivate staff

- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Strong financial management skills, including experience managing multi-million dollar budgets

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Mechanical Engineering, Business or similar field relevant to the role
- Driver's licence
