Health and Wellbeing Project Officer

**Part Time Permanent Position - 3 days per week**

**Band 5 - Salary Range $76,355 - $87,925 per annum + 11% Super (pro rata)**

**The Opportunity**

We currently have a position for a Health and Wellbeing Project Officer (reporting to the Team Leader, Community Health Promotion) to join our Social Planning and Wellbeing team.

This role will work with collaboratively with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and the City of Melton community to support the planning and delivery of evidence-based health and wellbeing initiatives, supporting social inclusion, mental health and physical activity across the City of Melton. To be successful in this role, you will be a self-motivated person with a demonstrated understanding of project planning, implementation and evaluation in community settings, preferably with a health background and knowledge of primary prevention.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver the Sons and Daughters of the West community programs.
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based health and wellbeing initiatives that contribute to positive health and wellbeing outcomes for those who live,
work, learn and play in the City of Melton municipality.
- Deliver relevant health and wellbeing activities, events and campaigns, in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders to enable collective impact for health and wellbeing outcomes for the City of Melton community.

**About you**

**_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_**
- Tertiary qualification in health promotion, public health, community development, health/social sciences or a related field with some experience or a lesser formal qualification and relevant experience.
- Excellent time management and communication skills including the ability to adapt communication to suit varying audiences.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of health promotion, social determinants of health and chronic disease prevention.
- Ability to work flexible work hours.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
