**About the Role**

The **Aquatic Schools & Programs Coordinator** is responsible for the management and operation of the centres Schools programs. They are accountable for managing the operational performance of the program in order to achieve the goals and targets as set out in the annual business plan for the program.

You will lead the Swim Teachers to ensure the delivery of aquatic education to school groups to the highest standard possible.

**About you**

You will have a passion for swimming and the progression of students. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun, with a flair for working with children. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure school group bookings gain maximum benefit and enjoyment from the services provided.

You will build positive working relationships with all the schools in the catchment area who currently direct students to the centre and foster new relationships with those that don’t currently direct students to the centre.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Essential Criteria
- Current Swim Teaching Certificate
- Previous Swim School or Leisure Supervisor Experience
- Previous experience leading a large casual workforce towards business outcomes
- Demonstrated business and/or marketing experience
- Previous experience leading/reporting/monitoring financial outcomes
- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check (or equivalent)
- Level 2 First Aid and current CPR
- Legally entitled to work in Australia

Recently, the **Mornington Peninsula Shire Council**awarded **Belgravia Leisure**as the management company of their newest Aquatic & Recreation facility located in Rosebud. Construction of this state-of-the-art facility was completed mid-2021.

Yawa Aquatic Centre includes a number of facilities that benefits many of the local community including 50m indoor pool, warm water program pool, four group fitness rooms for health and fitness classes, gym, wellness centre, café, family change rooms, all with a high level of regard to disability access. Thus, ensuring that Belgravia Leisure continues its purpose and mission of **“connecting community to leisure”**and in turn providing every member of the community the opportunity to take advantage of this incredible facility.
