We are currently seeking an experienced Stores Officer to join our Stores/Purchasing team on a permanent, fulltime basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, and working within a small team, this is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to supplement our department. This is a role where you can bring to the fore your current experience and knowledge, and develop in a busy & varied hotel operation.

This role revolves around overseeing the Stores functions and duties include (but not limited to):

- ordering, receiving, and quality control of stock from suppliers
- verification of approved purchase orders to invoice, and receive into inventory system
- maintain adequate inventories levels
- perform monthly stocktakes
- maintaining an orderly filing system
- manual handling and lifting
- maintaining & housekeeping of Store and receiving dock
- adhoc tasks as required
- demonstrate experience and competence in Stores/Purchasing administration
- have strong attention to detail & problem solving skills
- demonstrate an ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines
- have great interpersonal, communication & customer service skills
- enjoy working in a small and supportive team, with the ability to work autonomously
- possess a current forklift licence
- be able to provide a current National criminal history check
- have unlimited work rights in Australia
