**Position Information**:
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. **About the Role**

This role is vital to the maintenance and upkeep of departmental schools.

To be successful in the role you will need to have good planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others.

You will perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds. The role may assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities. You will identify and report maintenance and safety issues. You will receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.

King Park Public School is situated in South Western Sydney and has an enrolment of 415 students. The school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 with 16 mainstream classes and three support classes for students with a disability. The school serves a culturally diverse community with 87% of students from a non-English speaking background, 34% receive additional EALD (English an additional language or dialect) support. The school has spacious grounds, including an oval and synthetic soccer pitch.

The school is an integral part of the local community providing a venue for weekend Community Language school and a local community church group. After hours Karate, Zumba and soccer coaching groups also occur on school grounds and an OSHC (Out of School Hours Care) facility operates daily and in the school holidays.
