**About the centre**

North Melbourne Recreation Centre consists of a Gym, Outdoor seasonal Pool, Sports Stadium and Group Fitness Studios. Our recreation centre is shared with the esteemed North Melbourne Football club. Our outdoor pool, located a few hundred meters away from the recreation centre, boasts a 25 meter lap pool, a leisure pool and play pool. Our facility caters to the unique needs of the community surrounds and we pride ourselves on putting their needs first.

**About the role**

North Melbourne Recreation Centre is looking for a vibrant, motivated Aquatics Team leader to drive the Learn to Swim programming at our seasonal outdoor pool. The role is for the duration of our peak period including the lead up to (6 month position).

As the Aquatic Programs Team Leader you will manage and lead teams of employees in Aquatic Programs areas such as Swimming Lessons and School groups. You will ensure that the delivery of the programs meets a high standard of service, while inspiring, and motivating your team through clear and achievable team goals and support high standards of implementation of Policies and Procedures.

This is a 6 month fixed term part time position and the hourly rate starts at $29.08 + super.

This role is perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their Aquatics career, there are great mentoring and development opportunities available. You will be eager to to learn the ropes and play a key role within the leadership team.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a background in swim teaching or similar
- Have the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Think creatively with a solution focused approach
- Be approachable and personable, with a customer focused approach to your work

**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid certificate
- CPR certificate
- Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)

**Other Desired Qualifications**
- Program delivery and / or customer service experience
- Sport and Recreation and / or Facility Operations experience
