**About the role**:
Do you have a passion for safety, injury prevention, and supporting clinical teams in best practice manual handling? Join the Western Health OHS team as a Back For Life Coordinator and help make a positive difference in the wellbeing of our staff and patients.

As our Back For Life Coordinator, you'll lead the development, implementation and evaluation of manual handling programs across the hospital. You will work closely with clinical departments, educators, and the OHS team to promote safe work practices and reduce injury risks related to patient and task-related manual handling.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Coordinate Western Health wide manual handling strategies and policies
- Deliver training and education to clinical and non-clinical staff
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace audits, and ergonomic evaluations
- Support safe patient handling initiatives and equipment use
- Collaborate with injury management, education & OHS teams
- Monitor incident data and recommend improvements to reduce harm

**About you**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Ergonomics or OHS)
- Experience in manual handling education or injury prevention in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Knowledge of current manual handling legislation, codes of practice and clinical standards
