**About Us**

Fish in the Family is an Australian family-owned business with fresh retail stores across NSW and QLD including in Albury, Wetherill Park, Manly, Potts Point, Drummoyne, Lindfield, Lane Cove Orange, Newcastle, St Ives, Bowral and Brisbane. Owned and operated by the Papacosta Family since 1976, Andrea and her children Paul and Veronica work every aspect of this seven day a week operation.

**Job Overview and responsibilities**:
We are seeking Seafood Process workers for our busy stores located Albury, Newcastle, Bowral, Orange & Isle of Capri

The responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to
- Scaling fish
- Filleting and/or cutting of fish, cleaning/cooking of crustaceans as directed
- Fish cleaning and gaffing of fish - removal of fins and head, gutting, spike killing, washing.
- inspecting and grading fish and shellfish for size and quality
- packing fish and counting packs before freezing, and packing frozen fish blocks into cartons
- operating machines which can slice fish.
- loading fish products into trucks / sales area.
- Ensuring correct and safe knife handling practices.
- cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas.
- Having a basic understanding of Seafood Hazard Analysis Critical ControlPoints (Seafood HACCP)
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and requirements.
- All other duties as may be requested by management relevant to the position to achieve efficient, effective and successful operations.
- Having seafood product knowledge (and/or the aptitude to acquire) and the ability to provide clear and accurate product knowledge to sales teams and customers direct if required.

**Qualifications / Experience**
- Minimum 12 months experience or relevant qualifications
- Hold a current and valid first aid certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months of arrival and commencement of employment.
