Tranby College is currently looking for a Gardener and Maintenance Person to join us on a full
- time basis. This position is responsible for assisting the grounds and maintenance team in the
upkeep and maintenance of all College grounds and facilities.
- Ensure the gardens and grounds are consistently maintained to a high standard including

fertilising, raking/leaf blowing, weed control, watering, planting, hedging/pruning,
mulching, irrigation checks and rubbish removal;
- Prepare and maintain garden beds, sporting grounds and playgrounds across the College;
- Ensure equipment and machinery are used safely;
- Perform routine and unplanned maintenance as required;
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors on maintenance issues;
- Assist with setting/packing up for College functions and events and other movement of

College property around the grounds; and
- Act as after hours contact for alarm responses and other security related issues.
- Enjoy working outdoors;
- Be capable of general gardening and maintenance;
- Have experience maintaining ovals;
- Be committed to ensuring the College grounds and facilities are maintained to a high

standard;
- Be willing to liaise with College staff and respond to work requests as required;
- Have a current driver’s license;
- Have a Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one; and
- Have a qualification in Horticulture (desirable).
