**Role Overview**:
As a Front of House Team Member at Lil Bird, you’ll be the face of the brand, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth dining experience for all guests. Whether you are starting your career as a junior or looking to take on a senior role, we offer opportunities for growth and development. Your role will include serving customers, handling orders, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a positive team environment.

**Key Responsibilities:Junior Front of House Role**:

- Greet and welcome customers with a friendly attitude.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, both in-person and through our POS system.
- Serve food and drinks to customers, ensuring presentation meets Lil Bird’s standards.
- Maintain a clean and tidy dining area, including tables, condiment stations, and floors.
- Assist with basic food preparation and packaging during peak times.
- Respond to customer inquiries and handle minor complaints in a professional manner.
- Follow company procedures for health, safety, and hygiene.
- Support senior staff and follow instructions to develop skills and knowledge.

**Senior Front of House Role**:

- Lead by example, setting the standard for customer service and team performance.
- Train and mentor junior team members, helping them to grow within the role.
- Handle complex customer issues and resolve them effectively.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient service during peak periods.
- Assist in managing staff rosters, breaks, and floor coverage.
- Maintain stock levels of front-of-house supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Provide feedback to management to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

**Requirements**:

- **Junior Role**:

- No prior experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Friendly and approachable, with strong communication skills.
- **Senior Role**:

- 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in hospitality or retail.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and motivate team members.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a focus on delivering great customer experiences.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.

Pay: $22.56 - $36.63 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wollongong, NSW 2500: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
