Glou - Sustainable Wine Dispensary
Glou is looking for a new part-time, going full-time, Front of House professional with a keen interest in low-intervention wines and relevant wine knowledge. If you'd like to work with producers directly, are interested in contributing to a changing wine landscape and are keen to see circular economy in action, this one might be the right fit

Glou is a sustainable wine bar with an ancillary low-waste bottleshop. We exclusively work with Australian producers (wine, spirits, beer, food) and with circular economy in mind. Having worked with wine previously and relevant wine knowledge is a must, but formal qualification is not needed. We are more than happy to get you through WSET, if that's what you desire. As we develop dynamically at Glou, there's always room for growth, promotions, and support for your career pathway and journey - as previously mentioned.

- you will support the delivery of medium-large scale multidisciplinary zero-waste offsite and on-premise events
- you get to dive deeper into sustainable practices, not just in the vineyard, but also within a hospitality business and beyond
- you get to have a real say in the day-to-day and strategic operations

- understands a lot of aspects of the hospitality industry

- is physically able to lift up to 32kg
- cares for the product and the hard work that goes into making wine
- is interested and foundationally equipped to create & reproduce thoughtful cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, etc.
- wants to contribute to the change the world needs to see
- has a valid VIC drivers license and can drive manual
- is fluent in English and enjoys talking to people
- has quite a bit of FoH experience and relevant wine knowledge

Your pick if you'd like to start off as casual or elect a part-time employement contract. Our permanent contracts have a performance review and salary negotiation clause in it, which entitles you to performance reviews every 2 months and salary renegotiations every 6 months.
