**Capability & Engagement Specialist**

A Capability & Engagement Specialist is required by a NSW Government Department in the Sydney CBD (hybrid WFH) on an initial contract until the end of the year. This role is responsible for two key areas, and building capability frameworks in these areas:

- CX capability
- Learning & Development (L&D)

**Key accountabilities**:

- Undertake initial research to find out what customers are thinking
- Build a robust framework around internal customer data to bridge the gap between corporate services and their relationship with the department's internal workforce
- Run focus groups
- Identify areas where department is lacking and build capability uplift frameworks
- Identify the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups to inform better decision making and drive organisational priorities and outcomes
- Translate communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables
- Capture, review and disseminate information to meet the specific needs of different customers/stakeholders

**Selection criteria**:

- Previous experience in a similar role - preferably in the public sector
- Understanding of appropriate strategies for, and experience in managing delivery of advice and information services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver multiple support activities and services, ensuring deadlines are met
- Ability to manage competing priorities and demands
- High level of attention to detail
- Experience with **Qualtrics
