**About the Role**:
The department’s Family Day Care Programs directorate oversees the delivery or high-quality home-based care for children through Family Day Care, Guardianship Family Day Care and Respite Care programs, in line with the National Quality Framework for early childhood education and care, the South Australian Children and Young People’s Safety Act and national Disability Insurance Scheme.

We’re looking for a **Service Development Manager** to lead the way in growing and improving Family Day Care (FDC) Programs.

A key part of your role will be overseeing recruitment and induction strategies, ensuring a strong and capable FDC educator workforce to support young children and families. You will also lead promotional efforts, raising awareness of FDC career opportunities and positioning the sector as an attractive and rewarding field.
**ASO7 Service Development Manager**

Engaging with key stakeholders—including educators, families, government bodies, and sector partners—you will strengthen services while supporting retention efforts. Your focus on continuous improvement will see you using data, insights, and feedback to refine programs and ensure the best outcomes for children and care providers. Additionally, you will drive engagement, communication, and marketing strategies to enhance educator wellbeing and support innovative service growth.

**Qualifications**:
**Desirable**: A tertiary qualification in business and/or education and care related fields.
***Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
