**About Us**

The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.

This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.

**About the Positions**

We have a permanent full time Plant Operator position. We are looking for safety minded and versatile people. We have a large supportive team so good communication skills are essential. We do most of our work in-house which means we can identify issues early and are able to do a lot of preventative maintenance work.

**Key Responsibilities**

Your responsibilities include;
- Provide general labouring duties associated with Civil Engineering Construction and Maintenance works.
- Provide Road Works Traffic Management as required.
- To Transport Plant and equipment to and from site using HR heavy Ridged truck and trailer.
- Operate various piece of plant and equipment to complete maintenance repairs
- Undertake administrative duties including completion of timesheets, plant start-up and shut down checks, site-specific records and reporting of plant defects.
- Notify Supervisor of requirement for repair of engineering plant and equipment for Engineering Operations.
- Assist and support training of temporary personnel on various plant and equipment used on site.
- Attend and participate in regular toolbox meetings with field employees encompassing workplace safety, work practices and schedules and related issues.
- Maintain quality of own work to meet the City’s Engineering and Safety standards.
- Promote safety awareness and ensure a safe working environment.
- Other related duties as required

**About You**
- Minimum ‘HR’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management & Traffic Control Accreditation
- Certificates to Operate Nominated Construction Small Plant & Equipment, Quick Cut Road Saw, Compaction Equipment and Hand Tools
- Safety Awareness Training Certificate
- Trades background is desirable - Asphalt, Paving & Concrete
- Previous experience in Civil Engineering Construction & in an urban environment is desirable

These positions are Level 5 Outside Workforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $70,970.82 - $74,200.52 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
