**16 hours per fortnight minimum**

**$30 p/hr base **+ 10.5% Superannuation + Not for profit packaging**

**About the role...**

We have a newly created permanent part time role that will support our team of Health Professionals make a real difference to the independence and lives of your Elders The Allied Health Assistant will support individual and group programs and enter new referrals or client data into our client records system. It is an excellent entry level opportunity to become an Allied Health Professional. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

- Provide quality client care under the clinical supervision of an Allied Health Professional,
- Assist in the implementation of client care plans and programmes both individualised and group,
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals such as GPs & nurses to ensure specific care plans are formulated and monitored,
- Identify and report client circumstances that require additional input from our Allied Health Professionals,
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of equipment and resources required for services & programme delivery, monitor, order and distribute offices supplies
- Provide administrative support as requested
- Address enquiries efficiently and effectively providing accurate information within the scope of the position or coordinating messages and referral to relevant staff.

**About you...**

You will have a flexible, caring, patient attitude and an ability to work in a professional and proficient manner.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum Cert IV or equivalent in Allied Health Assistance, or another relevant field (e.g Certificate III in Aged Care) or willing to work towards this (MiCare will cover the cost of the course)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Current Australian drivers’ licence

***Skills**:

- Effective communication skills with the ability to build great relationships,
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team,
- Demonstrated understanding of client centred care services delivery for clients with long term health conditions, aged and people with disabilities,
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads,
- Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
- Have the right to work in Australia - A permanent resident or visa holder on the path to permanent residency

**A police check with no disclosable outcome, current flu vaccination and a COVID-19 vaccination, including dose 3 is required by MiCare for this position.**

**A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.**
