Job Description

Reporting to the Mine Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of tasks and projects and ensuring compliance to plan to achieve safe and efficient delivery to the highest quality.

About the Role

This position provides the perfect development platform - with the opportunity to work with other highly experienced Supervisor’s, receive mentoring from Superintendents and Managers in the business, and gain invaluable exposure to a large and dynamic pit. Whether you are an experienced Mining Supervisor looking to stretch yourself and ready yourself for the next step in your career or have recently got your OCE ticket - this is not a role that you can look past

Key Responsibilities include:
- Support the Operation through the delivery of critical tasks ahead of and after mining, including Rehabilitation, Dam Management, civil construction, Tailings Dam Capping, In-pit facilities and Water Management infrastructure.- Planning and supervision of employees and contractors to ensure work scopes are completed safely and accurately.- Provide visible leadership, advice and support to employees and contractors.- Manage project plans and schedules with specific focus on cost tracking and forecasting.- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Assist in the development of compliance to standards, procedures and processes associated with Project Delivery.- Manage execution timelines and ensure scheduled works are aligned with project & stakeholder commitments.

Roster and Location- Monday to Friday professional roster- Based on site at HVO South Facility (off Comleroi Road)

About You- Previous Supervisory experience in a mining environment- Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency and current practicing certificate (Desirable)- Ability to manage contractors in a dynamic, fast paced environment- Understanding of work scopes and budget requirements- Exceptional communication & influencing skills with the ability to maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders- Ability to build and foster strong working relationships with your team and across all departments- High level leadership skills with the ability to set clear expectations to the team and drive performance through clear & concise communication and leadership- Strong commitment to safety, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
