**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household tasks, and personal hygiene (if required).
- Support with managing routines and ensuring a safe and clean living environment.
- Encourage and promote life skills development, such as budgeting, cooking, or organization.

**Community Access**
- Accompany the participant to social, recreational, and community activities, promoting social inclusion and independence.
- Assist with accessing transportation and navigating the community safely.
- Support the participant in building and maintaining meaningful connections.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with the participant, prioritizing their needs and preferences.
- Implement strategies outlined in the participant's NDIS plan and support strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, progress, and incidents.
- Collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support team members as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or equivalent
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
- Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid/CPR
- ABN Number

**Key Skills and Attributes**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of intellectual disabilities and person-centered approaches.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to the participant's needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to empowering individuals to achieve their goals.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
