The Community Strengthening and Social Planning department is seeking Expression of interests for a Diversity and Inclusion Project Officer for an initial period of 3 months.
- **Band 5**:

- **Temporary-Part Time**:

- **28.80 hours per fortnight**
- The position will be part of the Diversity and Inclusion portfolio in the Connected Communities Unit. The purpose is to implement the Brimbank Language Services Policy and Guidelines, plan and deliver the Living In Your Neighbourhood Program and provide advice and support on projects designed for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD)communities as negotiated. The key reponsibilities are:

- Deliver key projects within the Diversity and Inclusion portfolio such as Living In Your Neighbourhood Program.
- Provide language services advice and guidance to Council staff and key external stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of services and programs to people whose level of English is a barrier to accessing council services and communicating with council officers.
- Assist with project management of key projects and programs within the Diversity and Inclusion portfolio.
- With direction, engage with a wide range of communities, service providers and government authorities to successfully deliver CALD communities focused projects.
- Under broad direction, engage with a wide variety of key internal and external stakeholders and develop and maintain collaborative partnerships.
- Facilitate improved access to Council facilities and services.
