Care1 is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable people to join our team of disability support workers to provide care and support to a care recipient in Nowra NSW on Tuesdays from 8.30am - 15.30pm and possibly other shifts from time to time.

In addition, Care1 is endorsed through Disability and HACC standards, with our accreditation (ISO 9001) incorporating the Core Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare. We also hold the Attendant Care Industry Standard (ACIS) accreditation standard.

**Job Purpose**
- Management of Direct Clients: ensure services are meeting the needs of recipients by liaising with direct client contacts, external case managers and allied health professionals;
- Management of Care1 care staff; in meeting the needs of recipients.
- Ensure delivery of services in-line with Care1’s Quality Management System (QMS), including active participation in Quality Improvement;
- Provision of care support (if required); and
- Overseeing various company projects or other assigned tasks as required by Care1.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Services to Direct Clients **_
- Maintain and expand existing direct client relationships.
- Ensure services delivered by Care1 are the highest quality of care and are in line with relevant standards.
- Assess, plan & implement appropriate and innovative care services for clients.
- Recognise new client opportunities and promote Care1’s services, where applicable.
- Work in conjunction with external health professionals to ensure positive outcomes for clients.
- Promoting Care1’s commitment to ‘people focused approach’ in all delivered services.
- Promote a positive image of people in care to assist their integration into the community.
- Maintain awareness of client, service user and family rights; ensure privacy, confidentiality and dignity.
- Investigate client concerns in line with Care1 policy and ensure they are dealt with promptly and professionally.
- Maintain client records (progress, case notes and goal evaluation) and review them accordingly in line with Care1 and client organisation policy and procedure.
- ttend regular company, client and case management meetings with a view to improving outcomes for client’s in-line with industry best practice and Care1 quality policy and procedures.
- **Care1 Care Staff Management**_
- Maintain and expand relationships with care workers.
- Development and delivery of internal training (induction) programs to care staff, including ongoing training.
- Initiating and updating of employee hard copy HR files.
- Ensure Care staff dignity, privacy and confidentiality is respected.
- Ensuring care staff are fully briefed on commencement of services.
- Ensure Care staff compliance with all Care1 Policies and Procedures, including induction of new care workers.
- Performance management of care staff, including conducting performance appraisals.
- Review care staff timesheets and adjust data in the scheduling system, taking note of travel costs/ expenses.
- Ensure care staff have access to necessary safety and hygiene equipment.
- Implementation of government and organisational policies and procedures including adhering to and ensuring employee compliance regarding Duty of Care and Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) and Care1 standards.
- Support care workers through effective work allocation and rostering, clear communications and building rapport to facilitate stability and the long term retention of staff.
- Liaise closely with Care1 management including other coordinators to ensure the maintenance of a team approach to client service delivery.

**Essential criteria**:

- Qualifications and experience in health, disabilities or aged care sectors;
- Ability to provide on-call (after hours) support to clients and staff as needed;
- Ability to travel to regional areas within NSW to attend case meetings and manage client programs;
- Familiarity with rostering databases;
- The ability to prioritise tasks and workloads and work to deadlines;
- Current Driver’s license.
