**About the Role**
The Research Associate position within the Trait Reconstruction Engineering and Experimentation (TREE) lab focuses on manipulating avian developmental programs to influence morphogenesis and patterning. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance our understanding of how the genome shapes body plan formation and generates diverse animal forms.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical ability in the following: avian developmental perturbation and/or genetic manipulation; analysis of growth and development using cellular and molecular techniques.
- Prepare scientific data for analysis.
- Communicate results at meetings.
- Contribute to writing guides and reports.
**Who We Are Looking For**
You will also have:
- Completion of a PhD in cell biology, genetics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in the field of avian biology research.
- Demonstrated experience in avian experimental manipulation and/or developmental biology and tissue morphogenesis.
- A demonstrated aptitude for independent research, with a sound publication record in relevant areas, commensurate with experience and opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare research reports and manuscripts for publication.
- Strong evidence of ability and desire to build an academic research career trajectory.
